Pumpkin patches, Halloween decor and seasonal beers on tap ... it finally feels like Fall! If you're staying with us this weekend, enjoy the weather and check out these free events scheduled for Saturday, October 20 and 21.
The Woodlands Wildflower Festival 2012 will be held at Rob Fleming Park. Collect a variety of free wildflower seeds, including the Texas Bluebonnet, Black-Eyed Susan, Scarlet Flax and the Drummond Phlox. There will also be displays of native plants, environmental exhibits and booths with nature-related gift items for sale add to the event. Children will enjoy free giant inflatable rides, a free petting zoo, pony rides, face painting and balloon artists. Lovable mascot of The Woodlands, Puffy Pine Cone®, will pose for free photographs.
The Grogan's Mill Farmers Market will take place from 8 a.m. to Noon. Grande Tamales, Texas Olive Ranch and Marchese Sausage are just some of the vendors selling their goods. For a complete list of vendors, click here.
Dozens of professional and amateur artists will display paintings, photography, metal-works, sculptures, pottery and more at Market Street’s popular outdoor Fall Fine Arts Festival. From 10 a.m. – 7 p.m., stroll through Market Street while listening to live music, and purchasing unique, handcrafted pieces designed by local and regional artists.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21
Pottery Barn at The Woodlands Mall Presents...Fall Decorating Class from 10 a.m. to Noon. Learn all the basics of entertaining from a sit-down Thanksgiving dinner to a casual buffet for a party at the "How to Entertain With Style" class. Enjoy live music by Reflex Band (Motown and R&B) at Northshore Park from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Bring a blanket, picnic dinner and lawn chairs to enjoy leisure time with your family! Northshore Park offers plenty of lawn space for tossing balls and Frisbees®, a large playground, two sand volleyball courts and pathways. All bands are family-friendly and admission is free.
