In Texas, there's no shortage of delicious dining, and when it comes to scouting out the best in the area, don’t fear, we’ve done the oh-so-tough work for you. Here are the top three places we’re talking about this month.
Dallas’ popular Tex-Mex restaurant made a move south to The Woodlands where the upscale restaurant is focused on high quality ingredients and an emphasis on service. Located at The Woodlands Mall, Mi Cocina is known for its Mambo Taxi®, a classic frozen margarita featuring Sauza Blanco tequila with Mi Cocina house-made Sangria. Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, the restaurant also features a gourmet take on traditional fajitas, enchiladas, tacos and other Tex-Mex staples. Mi Cocina is located at 1201 Lake Woodlands Drive.
Blue Mug Café
With an inviting, casual and comfortable setting, Blue Mug Café is set right at the intersection of Woodlands Parkway and FM 2978 and features a full menu of moderately priced food influenced by international tastes combined with time-honored recipes from around the world. Open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner (and dessert!), Blue Mug is more than just a restaurant but a nice hang out as well. Try the Caponi sandwich stacked with Cajun turkey, honey ham, hard salami, provolone, red onions, tomatoes, lettuce, chipotle Caesar dressing on a rustic sourdough bun. Or perhaps Jefe’s Pot Roast Grilled Cheese – Angus beef pot roast, apricot BBQ sauce and sharp cheddar cheese grilled to perfection on a sourdough bun. We could go on, and on and on…
Luca & Leonardo
Located right on The Woodlands Waterway, Luca & Leonardo’s is a romantic Italian restaurant with a birdseye view of the fountains at Waterway Square. As a guest, you become part of the Luca & Leonardo familia while dining there with warm, friendly service from the moment you step in their doors. Signatures include Rotoli – prosciutto rolls stuffed with foie grass and figs – and Ossobucco alla Griglia. They also now feature live jazz during brunch on Sundays. All around a great spot for date night or catching up with friends.
