The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center is excited to celebrate the completion of the first phase of construction on our new Fairway Pines III structure, which will introduce 184 new guest rooms and suites to our resort, with views of the property's Panther TrailTM golf course.
Holder Construction Company completed the exterior frame and “topped out” on the fifth floor. Concurrently, construction crews are framing the new 120-seat Texas steakhouse which will overlook the 18th green of the Panther TrailTM golf course as well as building out the signature lazy river, which will wind 1,000 feet through the surrounding forest highlighting the property’s Forest Oasis Waterscape™. Next steps include finishing out the exterior by February 2014 when interior construction will commence.
“We’d like to extend a big thank you to all of those that have played an instrumental part in safely and successfully moving our renovation forward,” said Greg Parsons, General Manager and Vice President of Hospitality for The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center. “Completing this phase of the Fairway Pines III building construction is a great milestone marker of the tremendous progress we have made in our renovation. It instills excitement for the future of our resort, enhancing its status as a premier destination for conferences, business travelers and families. The excitement is spreading across the entire resort.”
The Fairway Pines III building construction is part of the resort’s $60-million expansion and renovation, which will also include the addition of a lazy river and restaurant while updating the property’s 60,000 square-foot conference center.
The Woodlands Resort is embarking on an exciting $60 million expansion and renovation of the property, an 18-month project that will add a new guest room wing, a 1000-foot lazy river and a restaurant while updating the resort’s 60,000-square-foot conference center.
In addition to the transformation of our existing 222 Fairway Pines guest rooms, the resort will introduce 184 new guest rooms and suites with views of the property’s Panther Trail golf course in a third Fairway Pines building.
Our interior designers and architectural firm have been charged with conceptualizing the new design and interiors of the resort with contemporary Texas architecture featuring strong elements of stone, steel and wood. Transparency, warmth of materials and a connectedness to the landscape will create a relaxing respite for both weekend getaways and productive business meetings.
To complement The Woodlands Dining Room, Cool Water Café and Royal Mile Grill, we will introduce a steak house restaurant and lounge overlooking the 18th green. The upscale restaurant will house a private wine vault and have seating available on an outdoor patio for guests to enjoy.
New Meeting and Event Facilities
As experts in conference services, we will incorporate the newest meeting trends and creative offerings to our revitalized 60,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Included in the restyled space are the 13,500 square-foot Grand Ballroom, all 33 meeting rooms, breakout space, lobby and pre-function space.
Kids (and adults!) of all ages will delight in the new signature lazy river, which will wind 1000 feet through the surrounding forest highlighting the property’s Forest Oasis Waterscape™ with its waterfalls, synchronized water spouts two-story water slide tower and s’mores pit.
The reinvention of our award-winning resort will be strategically planned in phases to maintain resort operations as usual.
